The Department of BBA, Government College Dharamshala, in collaboration with NITCON Limited, through the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, successfully organised a three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) from 19 to 21 August 2026.

Principal Dr. Rakesh Pathania graced the programme with his presence. Dr. Parvesh Gill, Coordinator, Department of BBA, played a key role in coordinating the programme and facilitating the participation of students. He highlighted the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset among students and encouraged them to transform innovative ideas into practical and sustainable business ventures.

Prof. Dheeraj Katoch, Prof. Minakshi Saroch and Prof. Sujata Kaundal also contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. Dr. Rakesh Pathania emphasised the importance of adopting a practical and hands-on approach in entrepreneurship education, enabling students to understand real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions.

During the three-day programme, students received practical exposure to entrepreneurial thinking, business ideation, go-to-market strategies, startup operations, funding and the fundamentals of startup pitching. On the concluding day, students developed and successfully pitched their innovative startup ideas, including NexAura, Heyfarm, Mountain Soul Studio, Campus Link, Tokn Go and Waste to Wonder.

The innovative ideas presented by the students will further be explored for potential linkage with Rural Incubation Centres and other incubation centres, providing them with opportunities for mentoring, resources and a platform to develop their ideas into viable ventures.

The programme served as a valuable initiative to foster entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, leadership and startup culture among BBA students, while providing them with meaningful practical exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
